Jared Pufahl was one of the most loved and respected people that I met in Joplin when I moved here in 1993. I met him at Missouri Southern State College, and didn't even realize we had the same friends. We talked between classes and got together at various social functions (ok...parties !!!) in Joplin and that is when I realized the history he had with the friends I had made here.

Jared was a sincere man, who would have given you the shirt off his back. Never have I heard an ill word about him nor a person who didn't like him.

On January 19,1996 , Jared took his life and left this world...

We will all remember the great man who was Jared Pufahl, and I won't even attempt to say I knew him better than anyone, because I didn't. His brothers were the friends he had here, stronger than most bonds in families .He was a brother to many, and left an empty void in the hearts of his friends.

With much love, honor and respect , we dedicate this site to his memory. And a lesson to the future.

No matter how bad it gets, there is always someone out there to pick you up when you are down. Don't escape from the world, when there are friends there to help you through.
