It started with the coming together of Adam singing with his hole ridden Peavey, and Dallas, with his unbelievable guitar and mandolin abilities, Josh with the harp and vocals, and Bill with the fiddle. They threw down several great songs and played a few festivals. Old friend Garyn filled with bass and some guitars. It was all coming together.

Until one fateful Sunday in January...

Dallas 'yellobean' Evans, a week after the birth of his son, had multiple seizures and went into a coma for two months.Doctors, family and friends began to lose hope. Each night, tapes of the band, at that time called Five Fellow Garagemen Gravedancing and Bluegrass Up Yer Ass, were played ... hoping that Dallas would hear something to snap him out of his sickness.

This tragic day, January 19, was also the one year anniversary of the suicide of their dear friend Jared Pufahl.

Finally, Dallas came back...

It took him a while to readapt to life, but he worked hard, which included playing music with all whom he played with before his accident. Dallas made a hard but complete recovery. The band wrote new songs and included many from the earlier days. However, Dallas still lost two years of his life to this unknown illness, that almost took his life...he doesn't remember writing the songs, playing the songs, his son's birth...but he remembers how to play music.

We're all glad Dallas is back with us...

Yellobean has written all new material and has a bucket full of older songs. They also have a new standup bass player named John who picked up the set instantly. John played with them for the first time on January 3 at the Fourth Annual Acoustic Jamboree.

UPDATE

Josh and John are no longer with the band, but they have a new guitar player named Pete, who played with them at Champ's Pub on April 25th.

The crowd enjoyed the band and after the show, they got the Saturday Host Band spot at Champ's, along with some possible gigs with some other bands in town.

Yellobean is...

Adam

Dallas

Bill
